Historical Data Measurements
Internal corrosion is calculated from historical data measurements obtained from monitoring systems placed at fixed locations, known as Measuring Posts, along the pipeline.
Further Information
You specify the parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow, CO2 and H2S, to be monitored for the type of product being transported by your pipeline. These pipeline parameters are monitored by sensors at Measuring Posts along the pipeline and parameter values recorded at regular time intervals. The data collected is imported to Internal Condition (IC) Expert.
Internal Condition (IC) Expert displays the imported data for one pipeline at a time. For a selected time period and set of Measuring Posts the internal condition data can be viewed in tables or in charts.
The internal corrosion rate is calculated using a user specified Corrosion Model; based on any standard, for example NORSOK or FREECORP, and having a subset of the pipeline parameters as input.
