Trend For Parameters (synthetic data)
|
IC Expert operates by using all historical measurement data available, by connecting to any Corporate database.
IC Expert users can define and describe an unlimited number of type of parameters (such as Temperature, Pressure, Flow CO2, H2S etc), assign captions for them, units, acceptable limits, establish data binding to database fields and develop procedures for the calculation of different kinds (for example, recommended frequency of measurement).
IC Expert users can create and describe an unlimited number of type of product (Dry, Rich gas, Liquid, Multiphase etc), which have reference to a subset of previously described parameters, which will be monitored for this particular product type.
It is expected that all measurements are taken in fixed places, known as Measuring Posts. For each Measuring Post, it is possible to assign a particular product type which is monitored on it.
It is possible to present all data in tables and maps for any Measuring Post and create time dependant charts for any parameter or set of parameters inside this Post.
Using the values for these parameters, it is possible to calculate the Corrosion Rate.
IC Expert users can create an unlimited number of links to external programs which implement different Corrosion Models.
The module has the ability to describe procedures to invoke such programs, to pass parameters to them and receive results. Any external programs would preferably need to have the capability of accepting input data and provide access to the output results.
At the moment, two Corrosion Model applications are configured to be linked to the IC Expert module - NORSOK (M-506r2_IFE_06-2005.xls from http://www.standard.no/en/sectors/Petroleum/NORSOK-Standard-Categories/M-Material/M-5061/) and FREECORP (FreeCorp.xls from http://www.corrosioncenter.ohiou.edu/software/freecorp).
